Uncovering the Past, Building What’s Next
We’re excited to begin sharing a more intimate look into what we’re building and exploring at Little London Collective - and there felt no better place to start than with the transformation of our newest space in Westport.
A 19th-century building, uncovered layer by layer, reimagined as a working studio grounded in craft, history, and future intent.
This March, our team officially began renovations on our new office and showroom at 1 Bridge Square, marking an exciting new chapter for the studio. From the moment demolition began, the space started telling its story. As we peeled back literal layers- flooring atop flooring, ceilings stacked one over another - we uncovered the history embedded within the walls themselves.
It wasn’t long before we learned that this building once served as Westport’s original firehouse, dating back to the 1800s. A space built for service, resilience, and community- values that feel deeply aligned with our own.
Our vision for the showroom is simple in principle, yet ambitious in execution: to create a gleaming jewel box that honors the building’s past while restoring its structural integrity and reimagining its future. We are stripping the space back to its original bones-revealing, reinforcing, and respecting what was there-before building something new and beautiful in its place.
This showroom will be more than an office. It will be a working studio, a place for collaboration, and a physical expression of what we care about: craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and spaces that feel both grounded and inspiring. Most importantly, it will serve as a window into what we’re capable of- both for our community and for those who trust us with their own projects.
We’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes moments as the renovation unfolds. For now, we’re thrilled to begin this journey- one layer at a time.
Follow along for updates as the space continues to take shape.
